...All American Girl...

...the diner...

Found this amazing american diner in Carnaby St. when I went for lunch with my friends on Sunday called The Diner. I'm sure it's old news, but I had never been there before but will defo be going there from now on. The menu was jam packed with so much variety and I had trouble choosing what to eat. Of course I went for the classic Coke float and cheese burger. It. Was. Yum. Perfect Sunday dining. Relaxed and fun environment to chat and catch up with friends. My friend Emma (another blogger) and I were both snapping away on our cameras for images that were clearly going to be up on our blogs at some point.

Our waiter was lovely and really welcoming. I could of stayed there all afternoon, but it was obviously a popular place to eat as it was getting fairly busy. So we had to move on. *Sad face*.

...It's a Circus...

...what I wore...

Spending time with friends is such a great way to unwind and relax. Laughs, food and shopping thrown into the mix never fail elivate any pressure from our hectic lifestyles. On Sunday past, I caught up with some uni friends who I haven't seen in such a long time. We hung out round Oxford street, hitting Forever 21, then mooching around finding somewhere to have lunch (post on that later). Here are some snaps of what I wore and what I got up to. I eventually changed out of loafers into my biker boots. Warmer and just in cased it rained. My cashmere jumper was so snug, and best of all it was about £3 from a charity shop. It's bargains like that, that make my day...

...Cosmos at Night...

...cocktails till dawn...

Saturday night I went out with my friends Holly and Anna for some drinks and a bit of a boogie. Holly had to leave for various reasons, boo, but myself and Anna continued with the night. Was so much fun to get out and plus travel home was easy and I was in bed by half one. Nice. I wore my H&M jumpsuit, which I got over the Summer but have only worn once.

The material is lovely and very flattening on my tummy. Hides a multitude of sins. I paired my burgandy, tasseled boots with it to give my look a more edgy feel. Felt so confident in myself and I like that feeling. Anna had this most amazing cocktail called a 'Porn Star' and it was delicious. Smooth, fruity and just yummy. I had a standard Cosmo. Classic, tangy drink that hits the sopt perfectly. The best thing was I wasn't hungover the next day, which meant I could enjoy the day with my girls from uni. Win, win in my book...

...Sunday Update #6 ...

Another packed week. A photography gig on Monday,  which I was so proud of doing, lots of work and then coursework, drinks last night and a day in town with the girls from uni. Today was the first day I have started to feel christmassy and I think it's primarily because of seeing the christmas lights and displays around Oxford St. Was lovely and so pretty. Also because I have now two of my pressies sorted. Boom!

I was planning on driving back to Worthing this evening but there were hassel with the trains and had to get the bus replacement back from London, and am now knackered and just want to chill. So, I am driving straight to work tomorrow morning.

Have a big week coming up, James's band are playing their first gig this coming Thursday, so if you're around the Worthing area and read my blog, come and check them out. They are pretty darn good and I'm not just saying that, *wink*. As well as this the deadline for my PGCE application is this coming week and I have completed it. Eek. Just need my reference and off it goes. Fingers crossed. A lot of effort went into the personal statement and I so want to get in. Then on Saturday, am finaly going to see Breaking Dawn: Part 1. Ahhhhhhhh cannot wait. Plus am going to try and get all my shopping done too.

Hope your weekends were fun filled and am looking forward to seeing all the posts on the Birmingham Xmas meet up...

...Positively False...

Monday, what a night. I had the pleasure of being invited to a private screening of a new documentary film, made by the wonderful Joan Shenton and my film tutor Andi Reise. Alongside this I was asked to do the stills photography and videography during and after the screening. It was so much fun. Of course I was extremely nervous, but soon relaxed into the feel of the evening. Everyone was so warming, and it was nice to talk to people about a really interesting topic. This event really opened my eyes up to this whole area. I will go not into too much detail about it as it is such a touchy subject. But please, if you get a chance to see this film please do. It was brilliant. Uttery brilliant and interesting and thought provoking. The film is still out there trying to gain recognition in the festival arena and has already been nomitated for some European awards. So, this is my little plug attempt.

The screening was held at the Lost theatre in Stockwell, always a trendy place to be.  Good food and lots of drinks were consumed, however unfortunetly for me, I barely ate and had, I think, one quick drink, I was that busy rushing around. Running on adrenaline I think. Barely had time to stop and relax. I wanted to make a good impression and get the shots. Hopefully I did...

...Saturday musings...

...cloudy day, lets do work...

This is my typical Saturday: coursework, hair in towel and uploading pics for my blog. Am spending most of today doing coursework for my NVQ, assignment three I here come, and planning some blog posts for later. This being one of them. I have a post coming up about my special Monday evening, where I went to a private screening. More on that to come. I spend most of my weekends travelling back to London to see friends and chill out. Is always nice to have some me time and really focus on things. Like tonight I am going for drinks, which will be fun and then tomorrow I am meeting up with uni friends up in town. Bit o' lunch and good old natter, maybe some christmas shopping thrown if I feel ready. I hate christmas shopping. It's soo hard, especially when one of my good friends has already done hers. I know crazy organised right? Am relly gutted also that I couldn't make it to the Birmingham Bloggers Xmas meet up. So sad but am looking forward to seeing everyone's post and I will defo be making it to the next one. Hope they all have a wicked time. Really needto organise my plans.

So back to work I get. Just wanted to show a little bit of my Saturdays. Must write, write, write. I have also included some pics of what I wear when hanging out round the house...pretty simple and cosy...

...Jellyantrics...

Last week, me and the family celebrated our family friend's 60th. Was sucha great night. I was ill, which bummed but didn't let it stop me enjoying myself. Of course I was on photo watch, although everyone had a god and we all got soem great pictures of the night. Was so funny, loud and most of the people who turned up were drunk by the end. Lots of food, wine, dancing, singing and shouting. We stayed over at their house where the partied continued on until about 3/4 in the morning. I was in bed by this point.

That morning the lovely birthday boy, cooked us all (17 of us) a delicious breaky. Went down perfectly with all the sore heads knocking about. It was lovely seeing everyone again after having been on holiday together. Good chance to catch up with friends and drink the night away (for some that it, ha!)...I took over 100 photos so limiting them down for this post was hard, hence why it has taken almost a week to upload them...I have also included some iamges of what I wore. Not full length outfit shots but snaps of part it...
